EASY SERVICE PROJECT FILLS A DESPERATE NEED FOR INTERFAITH!
AND you can do it from home!
Interfaith hands out nearly 300 sack lunches daily to anyone who comes to its Escondido campus and requests one, no questions asked. You can donate supplies or volunteer to make them on site or offsite at home using certain precautions.
(Can be dropped off anytime between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. M-F at our 550 W. Washington location)
- Peanut butter
- Granola bars/fruit snacks, applesauce, etc.
- Small water bottles, juice boxes, juice pouches
If you’re able to donate finished lunches, here are guidelines for building them remotely. This is a great group activity for neighbors, scout troops, youth groups, etc.
Drop Off: Please schedule a day and amount Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm, Address: 550 W. Washington Ave, Escondido CA 92025
- sandwich (meat and cheese or PB&J)
- small drink (water or juice)
- granola bar
- treat (chips, cookie, fruit snacks, etc.)
in a lunch sack. Note sandwich type on box of prepared lunch bags.
If you make meat and cheese, please make it meat and cheese only--do not put any condiments or veggies on the sandwich.
- wash your hands
- tie back hair
- wear gloves
- wear a mask
There is no required quantity; whatever you are able to provide is appreciated. As a general rule of thumb, it typically takes one person two hours to make 50 lunches.
If you’d prefer to make the lunches onsite, please email or call me and we’ll get you scheduled.
