Creating Newness in Community

Last Sunday, we were blessed to hear John-Luke’s Precious Stones suite for piano in our sanctuary. It was the “world premiere,” meaning that we were the first to hear this beautiful new creation performed.

While all credit goes to our music director, John-Luke, I’m reminded that this new piece manifested through him and our community. For example, John-Luke wrote this piece while using professional development time in Spain and Portugal. It was magnificently brought to life by Bryan Verhoye on a new piano. It was projected so well because of our new sound system. None of this would have been possible without your annual financial support and gifts.

Bravo to John-Luke—and to you! God is always creating something new, and this is a fine example of God’s love for our world expressed through our gifted musician and our community.

Now, I have to ask: Which movement was your favorite? Mine was “Alexandrite”! Watch the world premiere HERE.
