YOU BELONG ALREADY.
Let's make it official.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on your life journey, St. Bart's invites you to make your spiritual home here. As members, we commit to growing, giving, and serving together as the hands and feet of Christ.
The two paths to membership here are baptism and confirmation. Anyone who is already baptized can become a member by requesting a transfer from another church or simply by requesting to be registered as a member at St. Bart's. Contact Lisa Watts, Parish Administrator.

Everyone has a next step.
WHAT'S YOURS?
Whether you grew up in an Episcopal Church, another Christian denomination, an entirely different tradition, or have no religious background, you are welcome at St. Bart's.
We offer many opportunities for you to get involved with groups, classes, and service ministries
that are all designed to help you connect with God and others while exploring issues that matter to you.
BAPTISM
Wade in the water
Baptism at any age is the main pathway to membership at St. Bart's. In it, we are named as children of God, who promises to be with us always. We believe this promise is immovable, and so you are only baptized once. We accept baptism from any Christian community: regardless of age, denomination, or the amount of water involved!
Adult baptism is your opportunity to publicly commit to following Christ and full participation in the church. The first step is to schedule a conversation with one of our priests by contacting our parish administrator, Lisa Watts, or by completing a new member form.
Baptisms are held throughout the year at our weekend services.
CONFIRMATION
Claim your faith
Confirmation represents a deepening awareness and commitment to the love of God poured out in baptism. The process involves a season of study and reflection, culminating in a ceremony where adults and teens publicly affirm their desire to follow Christ. The ceremony is officiated by a bishop (regional leader), who lays hands on and prays over each participant, connecting us to the church across time and space.
Typically, individuals are prepared for confirmation through the Adult Inquirers' Class or the youth confirmation program. Contact our parish administrator, Lisa Watts.
While encouraged, confirmation is not necessary for membership; baptism is the sole requirement. Confirmation is expected for those who may wish to grow and serve in leadership by serving on St. Bart's Vestry (governing board).
At St. Bart's, we view curiosity and doubt as essential to spiritual learning and growth. Throughout the Bible, we meet a host of questioning companions who wrestle with God and give voice to unbelief. Jesus himself offered more questions than answers.
As part of the Jesus Movement, we don't think conformity of belief is necessary to belong. We welcome your questions and warmly invite you to bring your whole self to this community. You will be met with listening hearts and love. Wherever you are on your journey, we count it a privilege to walk with you as we seek the path toward ever-deepening joy and transformation in God.
