Sunday School
Fall Sunday School Starts on September 7th

New Sunday School Curriculum
All Things New is the curriculum for today's Episcopal children that we will be using during the 2008-2009 school year. This program for children from preschool through sixth grade offers a rich mix of age-appropriate activities centered on scripture and Episcopal “basics.” Simple, easy-to-use components with contemporary graphics help time-pressured faith formation leaders learn the basics they need to be effective leaders. We are confident our teachers and students will not only enjoy learning this year, but have fun while doing it! You can check out details of the curriculum by visiting http://www.livingthegoodnews.com/allthingsnew.htm
Nametags
We hope you, as parents, have your own nametag and wear it when you come to church. We also hope you have decided to have one made for your children. They will feel that much more part of our church if they have their very own nametag. Fill out a nametag form today (they’re in the church narthex) to have one made for your little ones.
Sunday School Offerings
One of our major goals this Sunday School year is to encourage our kids to bring an offering to Sunday School. We will be educating our kids this year on the importance of offerings and hope you encourage them as well. Offering envelopes are available in every classroom, in the church office, and in the Education Building.
Continue to Bring Your Peanut Butter and Jelly
Drop your peanut butter and jelly off in the box located in the Education Building and we will be sure it gets to the right place.
Join Our Children's Ministry Team for the 2008-2009 School Year
If you are interested in joining the St. Bart’s Children’s Ministry Team for the 2008-2009 School Year, please let us know. The more the merrier! You don’t have to teach… you can greet, bake, cut, craft, give high fives, color, paint, play, and be a mentor with our St. Bart’s kiddos. We would love to have you part of our team. We will be getting together several times throughout the year socially as well, so the perks of being part of the team are even better than you think! It goes BEYOND Sunday!! Please contact Tara Pritchett at 858-705-2483, email tarapritchett@cox.net. or contact Elizabeth Lammers at 858-735-4353, email elizabethlammers@cox.net.
Book Nook Makeover
We have had such a wonderful response to our Book Nook Makeover Project. The books continue to filter in. We are still in need of a DVD player, DVDs, art for the walls, stuffed animals, BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS, puzzles and games. We are carrying this project over into the school year as we attempt to perfect the room and make the most of it. Please continue to put aside donations for this project that, in the end, will benefit not only our St. Bart’s kiddos, but also benefit the church during evening events. It will be a cozy retreat for the kids when the adults are busy with fellowship. Thank you in advance for your support!
Sunday School Bulletin Board
Be sure to check out the bulletin board in the Education Building as you drop off your children for Sunday School. If you need anything posted, just let us know and we will gladly post it.
