Confirmation and Reception into the Church

Confirmation Classes at St. Bartholomew’s are a pastoral office for baptized Christians to prepare them “to make a public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism, and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop” (BCP, p. 412). We offer confirmation  classes for adults as well as for young people approaching adolescence. Baptized adults already confirmed in another branch of the Christian church are also received into the church during the confirmation service.
