Confirmation and Reception into the Church

The Episcopal Church provides this pastoral office for baptized Christians and prepares them "to make a public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism, and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop" (BCP p. 412). Confirmation classes are offered regularly by our rector, Fr. Fred Thayer, and include young people approaching adolescence, as well as adults.

Baptized adults who have been confirmed in another branch of the Christian church are also received into the church during this service.
